                                                                                             These animated pieces are 3 chapters in a fragmented looping narrative inspired by classic fairy
                                                                                              tales, stories which have passed through time by word of mouth, shaping our earliest memories,
                                                                                                while their universal themes and archetypal characters form part of a collective memory.
                                                                                              These stories include motifs of transformation and redemption which echo the transformative
                                                                                              power of the creative process and the fluctuating identity of the Self. The titles are taken from
                                                                                            scientific terms used to describe the exchange between the dr and the patient in psychoanalysis.

                                                                                             The Time Speed & Distance calculations are one of the basic tools a sailor uses in navigation.
                                                                                               Using this simple formula he can predict the time of arrival, the speed of travel or the distance,
                                                                                                  and with a known heading, determine an approximate position” This calculation parallels the
                                                                                                shift, flux and actualization that occurs during the creative process in the search for "enlightenment"
                                                                                                   while the 'approximate position' is an intriguing metaphor for the location of the 'Self'. 
                                                                                                            These 'moving pictures' use  fragments of narrative to map this journey.
